LNF Checklist for Nursery aged children (ideal for tracking and PGCE)

LNF Checklist for Nursery aged children (ideal for tracking and PGCE)

This is a checklist that can be used to keep track of certain learners. It is editable so that you can change it to suit your needs. I’ve done it on powerpoint as I find it easier to edit. I think PGCE students may find it helpful when tracking certain learners. Feel free to leave comments about how it could be improved. I have also added a Reception section to the document but i have missed out those skills that have no corresponding skill in the Nursery section (if that makes sense).

Trump Cards Template2 Publisher

Trump Cards Template2 Publisher

A trump cards template for Publisher. You will need Microsoft Publisher to access the template. Instructions included in the compressed folder. It contains 1 template (front, back) in 3 different colours: red, green, light green). I’ve attached the pdf conversion, in case you want to encourage the students to become creative. Idea to use the pdf: i. Print the cards. ii. Give a card to each student. iii. Ask the students to write their name on the top and draw themselves. iv. Ask them to list 3 strengths and 2 weaknesses and rate them from 1 to 10. v. Ask students to compare the cards and split into groups of 3 in such a way that they create good working groups (e.g. someone who marked his reading with 5 can make a good team with someone who marked his reading with 9). Enjoy!

Going for Goals - 'Fill the Sky with you Biggest Dream'

Going for Goals - 'Fill the Sky with you Biggest Dream'

Beautiful colouring/sheet sheet and text from the book to encourage to children to think about what their dreams maybe. Extract from the book reads; ‘Dreams are precious things. They are worth more than silver or gold, yet they are free. Everyone can own a dream, no matter who they are or where they are from. Dreams must be loved, treasured, nurtured and encouraged to grow strong and blossom.’ Text creates a wonderful discussion point on the beauty, and the importance, of having a dream in their life, something they work towards hope for, something that is just for them. This could lead into their own poem about dreams. Share children’s finished work with the author, by getting in touch with me on here, I would love to see their work and maybe share on my website. See other colouring sheets and colouring bundles in other listings. Illustration by Lisa Buckridge, all Images and text Copyright and cannot be reproduced or sold on.

Consumption: Need or Want?

Consumption: Need or Want?

Students will think about what they encounter and consume in their day-to-day lives, and think about those things in terms of whether they fulfill a ‘need’ or a ‘want’. Students create a list of consumables and categorise them as needs or wants, then make a list of their own needs and wants.
