Superhero counting

Superhero counting

How to engage children who are fascinated by superheroes. I made this to encompass particular fave heroes but easy to add or edit to include Ben 10 etc. Activity goes from counting to find the numeral (sorry about the 4 I use a different font at work which wouldnt upload) '...and if there was 1 more....? to combining sets. Enjoy!

Super hero Powerpoint

Super hero Powerpoint

Introduction to super hero week. What makes them special? Word document gives background information. This is a fantastic topic for getting boys into recording. I made Super Hero words as a phonics activity and for fun. You can print off the pages, laminate and you've got a book. I downloaded Super hero theme music too. Ask your children to tidy the classroom like Power Rangers, crank up the volume, the results will amaze you!

Punctuation Superheroes for Reception and KS1

Punctuation Superheroes for Reception and KS1

These are punctuation superheroes I made to use in the Reception Class and in Year 1 in particular. The children love using these when writing and each character has an action which is the same as the Kung Fu punctuation action. The poster versions are basically the large versions to print off. Print off each character separately. I put the reminder card on the tables when the children write. Boys in particular love using these. I am making some other character, for example one for speech marks, which should be useful for Year 2.
