Lesson, Page and Task template designs for Camping or Holes (Louis Sachar) themed work

Lesson, Page and Task template designs for Camping or Holes (Louis Sachar) themed work

At the start of every topic I create a large set of blank page backgrounds that I print to Smart Notebook and use as templates for all my lessons during the topic. I have included a notebook version. In this pack there are 18 different page designs. I use these templates for my 'Holes' novel topic and work on deserts. Not only do they look great but they save a great deal of time setting up eye catching teaching resources. The children absolutely love the colourful interactive board displays and will hold me to account if I have a boring board at any point during the day! I often print a page or two out and use them to set tasks on. I buy the clip art from another teaching resource site and spend hours organising them into boxes for learning objectives, dates and tasks/teacher modelling. I hope you find them useful. Please leave feedback.

16 Photos of The Antarctic or Southern Ocean+31 Different Teaching Activities To Try With Your Class

You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different locations being shown in each of photos. I have included a presentation showing you 31 different teaching activities you could use these photo flashcards for in the classroom. They are a lot of fun and easy to prepare. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about the Southern Ocean (Also known as the Antarctic Ocean). The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different types of animals. The students can then discuss what they think it would be like to live there. The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.

Business Cards and Jobs

Business Cards and Jobs

This lesson has been created by real life explorer Sarah Weldon FRGS as part of her preparation for a world first solo row around the coast of Britain in 2017. It takes a fun look at the history of the business card, and why people, including explorers need a business card. This activity is centred around a video of Sarah (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZ5e_LP0xxE), followed by a cross curricular activity where students should design and make their own business card, practice their social etiquette, and learn more about the importance of the card and it's etiquette in different cultures to their own. Learning Objectives: 1. Students should write for different purposes (KS2 English) 2. Students should plan, draft, edit and proof-read (KS3-4 English) 3. Students should be taught to develop their creativity and ideas, and increase proficiency in their execution. (KS3 Art and Design). 4. Students should consider diverse national, regional, religious and ethnic identities in the United Kingdom and the need for mutual respect and understanding (KS4 Citizenship). 5. Students should recognise common uses of information technology beyond school (KS1 Computer Science). 6. Students should be taught to develop their capability, creativity and knowledge in computer science, digital media and information technology (KS4 Computer Science). 7. Students should be taught to design purposeful, functional, appealing products for themselves and other users based on design criteria (KS1 Design and Technology).
