2D and 3D Shapes Worksheets and Matching Activity

This is a matching activity and two worksheets for learning about 2-D (plane) and 3-D (solid) shapes.s The matching activity has 30 cards - 15 with pictures and 15 with shape names. Some are plane shapes and some are solid. Students match the pictures up with the correct name. This can be played as a memory game. The first worksheet requires student to distinguish between solid and plane shapes by cutting out each shape and gluing it under the correct heading. The second worksheet focuses on solid shapes. Students will cut and paste definitions of edges, faces, and vertices. Then they will complete a table to show how many of each there are for several shapes.
