Look, I know how difficult it can be to come up with a decent standard lesson for this new subject, so why not invest in a resource tried and tested on Year 5 and 6 classes. Good solid lesson. An activity worksheet and usage guidelines. Most appropriate for KSII/III. Students use devices/reference material to match the Sheikh with the name tag once this done the Sheikh+name can be matched to their respective Emirate. Resource contains: accurate photos, accurate name tags, a mini map of UAE and a short instructional paragraph. Lesson plan includes additional information on some sheikhs and suggested extension activities. A one hit sheet for a solid lesson. Suitable for SEN (with additional support).

GCSE SOCIOLOGY KEY WORDS GLOSSARY UNIT 1 STUDYING SOCIETY EDUCATION FAMILY

GCSE SOCIOLOGY KEY WORDS GLOSSARY UNIT 1 STUDYING SOCIETY EDUCATION FAMILY

Hi all. Please see my key words glossary for Unit 1 AQA Sociology covering every key word from the specification in pupil friendly language. You can use this for revision, planning and interventions. I think it could be really helpful as the subject can be very wordy and pupils can lose confidence. This will help pupils quickly understand the key words and how to apply them. Please do leave feedback as these resources will continue to be developed for another two years until a new reformed Sociology course begins. Thanks for your time. best wishes

Five Assemblies (Bundle) - Resilience, Decision Making, Healthy Living, Leadership,Responsibility

You will find five assembly presentations that can be used for a whole Phase/School assembly or during PSHE lessons. This is a special price of £3.99, which will save you many hours and effort. Resilience Assembly: This is a Who Wants to be a Millionaire themed assembly to teach the children about resilience. Each question is linked to the theme resilience, and after each correct question they receive a letter. We call it 'Who want to win a word?' I have also included a story that can be used to support the assembly and a video link to further enhance the message being shared. The assembly time will be around 20-25 minutes and if you want to impress your colleagues and ensure the children have a fun, interactive learning experience, then this assembly presentation is for you. This presentation is completely editable, which will allow you to make slight changes to suit your context. Leadership Assembly: This is a great Presentation to demonstrate leadership. The children will enjoy discussing some of the questions with a partner. Can be used during lessons too. Decision Making Assembly: This is a PowerPoint presentation that could be used in class and for a school assembly. Your children will enjoy the story and it will hopefully help them make better decisions afterwards. Enjoy! Responsibility Assembly: Promotes great discussions and can easily be adapted to suit any school. I have left two slides on at the end, which are a fun way to share the weekly house point totals. Healthy Living Assembly: Great to use for the start of a new topic. Includes animations, pictures and will promote questioning. **** Check out the other resources in my store.

Growth Mind Set Assembly

Growth Mind Set Assembly

I used this assembly as an introduction to a new whole school drive on improving students numeracy through a tutor time activity called the maths Olympics. The assembly starts with a video which shows photos of a boy from birth to 11. The students were mesmerised by it and it meant they all came in nice and calmly. The assembly looks at the number of days and hours students have been alive and what they have done with their time and focuses on the importance of having a growth mind set to make the most of their time. The assembly lasts around 15 minutes and worked really well. Enjoy
