te llevas bien con differentiated activities and preparation for speaking

te llevas bien con differentiated activities and preparation for speaking

This is a variety of activities designed at developing confidence (building up paragraphs in particular) on the topic of 'getting on well with'. The activities are differentiated and varied addressing all types of learners. There is also a preparation for a speaking assessment (each question is dealt with separately according to ability). The lesson goes progressively from low to high ability with relevant differentiation. You may want to replace the levels with the assessment 'grades' your school uses now. I have used the lessons for an appraisal observation. It is easy to adapt if needed. I hope you find it useful and gets you lots of praise.

Mi Familia GCSE 9-1- Revision Tasks (Year 10/11 AQA Spec)

Mi Familia GCSE 9-1- Revision Tasks (Year 10/11 AQA Spec)

Sometimes I find it difficult to give students revision tasks that will not require large amounts of printing and marking on my behalf. To overcome this I have recently tried this concept with my Year 10 group to help revise for their upcoming school assessments. Students have a sheet full of revision tasks. The tasks are divided into 3 groups and each group equates to set amount of time they should spend on a given task. The tasks vary from self assessing to peer assessing to resources they can create and use themselves in future. I have attached both .pdf and .doc for your editing needs. Claddagh Classrooms

The survivors - family and relationships

The survivors - family and relationships

These resources will work alongside mira or your own scheme of work. They are fun, engaging and easily adaptable. Lessons and activities are covered in depth through the presentation, with activities easily printable from powerpoint presentation. These lessons run on smoothly from the introduction to family, and begin with an in depth look at the differences between Ser and Estar. The final outcome will be that students can use ser and estar correctly, use a variety of adjectives to describe themselves and others, use reflexive verbs to describe daily routine and tasks they complete, and use the future tense. The lessons are constructed around the idea there has been a plane crash and we are a few survivors stranded on the island. Students are really engaged in the lessons as they are eager to know how it will end. As mentioned all activities are easily printable for you to use in class. There are a variety of activities, games, tasks and slides you can use straight away or change to suit your lessons or teaching styles. (Originally designed for Year 9/first year of KS4 but can be used with other year groups). If you like these style of resources, please take a look at my other resources :)

Spanish 'create a boardgame' lesson - Topic, Mi familia - ¿Tienes hermanos?

Spanish 'create a boardgame' lesson - Topic, Mi familia - ¿Tienes hermanos?

A full lesson aimed at a top set Y7 Spanish group (but could be adapted for any year). This is a full lesson which promotes teamwork, higher order thinking skills, peer assessment as well as making sure TL is encouraged. There is a sheet with TL that can be made use of while playing the game. Pupils have to create their own boardgame as a way to learn a new set of vocabulary - here relating to the verb 'tener' and 'hermanos'. Pupils are given a template (juego de mesa document) to fill in after first producing an answer sheet with both the Spanish and English answers to their game (hoja de respuestas). Pupils can trial their own game as well as trial others in the class. I have included a peer assessment sheet to provide further structure and focus. The SMART presentation acts as a guide throughout the lesson. I hope this proves useful for someone, my kids really enjoyed this way of working.

KS1/KS2 Spanish learning mat (Numbers, colours, greetings, family and key words)

KS1/KS2 Spanish learning mat (Numbers, colours, greetings, family and key words)

I've put together a nice little Spanish learning mat to be printed out in A3 size for my students to have on their desks to accompany them in lesson. The idea is that in the primary classroom we can't always fill every wall with target language vocabulary and language related displays, at least this way if their eyes wander down they'll be looking at what they've been learning. Laminate if possible, enjoy. The mat contains: - Numbers - The family - Colours - Greetings and questions - Key words
