MFL Games/ Starters/ Displays bundle - easy to adapt for other topics

Lots of attractive, easy to adapt resources and activities that are tried and tested, I am regularly complimented on resources I share with my dept and I have seen these being used by other staff The games in particular are popular with students, the starters are all challenging and grammar focused which is good for the new GCSE requirements

Pronunciation ... e sounded on the end of words. Cognates lesson.

The students consider the letter e in English being silent on the end of love, orange etc., and only sounding on a few words such as fiancee. Students read cognate words ending with -ante, such as interesante. Then students answer questions such as ¿Qué tipo de "ante" lives in the jungle? ... Elefante. There are flashcards of these cognates to colour for the early finishers.

Spanish lesson bundle - alphabet and pronunciation

Spanish lesson bundle - alphabet and pronunciation

I used this lesson for a Year 9 class who had had a couple of Spanish taster lessons at the end of Year 8. It covers the Spanish alphabet, pronunciation and the use of accents and apostrophes. There is a PPT presentation and several Word documents to use as hand outs. There is also a lesson plan attached. The class I used it with was mixed ability and included a pupil who was visually impaired, requiring everything to be on a yellow background.
