Taking a Journey Through the Digestive System with #GoogleExpeditions

Taking a Journey Through the Digestive System with #GoogleExpeditions

Follow the journey of a raspberry through the digestive system. Pupils will start in the mouth, where they will learn about the role of teeth in digesting food. They will then take a trip down the oesophagus where they will be able to see the raspberry broken down. The raspberry will then be transported through the stomach, small intestine and large intestine. Using the worksheets, pupils can answer questions and solidify their learning as you take them on a journey through the digestive system. As a follow up activity, pupils can create a storyboard about Simon, a strawberry, who travels through the digestive system, starting in the mouth. The lesson plan contains the following content: 1. Lesson plan 2. Worksheet to be completed during the expedition 3. Storyboard template for ‘Simon the Strawberry’ If you want any more tips/ideas about how to incorporate Google Expeditions into the classroom, visit our website: www.primevr.co.uk.
