Two sets of 12 cards for students to cut up, solve and then place cards in ascending/descending order of solutions. A multiple choice activity - where each answer gives a letter. The full set of letters can be rearranged to spell the name of a band, and finally a cross number all covering multiple topics Just a slightly different way to get students to look at revision. Fun revision activity for GCSE maths 2

12 cards for students to cut up, solve and then place cards in descending order of solutions. Just a slightly different way to get students to look at revision. A range of grades to allow access for all from beginning. When I use this with my class, I get students to work in pairs. I also give them paper to stick the cards on once order is complete and get them to write their working around the outside. I have found students to be much more engaged than if they were just given a page of questions. The 12 included topics are: proportion, simplifying surds, trigonometry, cosine rule, substitution, LCM, percentage profit, sequences, quadratic formula, circle theorems, mean of grouped data and reverse percentages.

Perimeter and Area Revision Interactive Spreadsheet

Perimeter and Area Revision Interactive Spreadsheet

An Excel Workbook containing eight spreadsheets to practice the GCSE skills of finding perimeters and areas of rectangles, triangles, a trapezium and circles. All sheets have an associated answer sheet going through each question. The questions have multiple choice answers, generated using the answer and potential misconceptions. If the correct letter is given it turns the answer box green, or red if incorrect. Note that your computer will need Microsoft Excel with Calculation Options set to 'Manual' and Macros enabled. There is a set up sheet which gives some advice on how to do this. Clicking the 'More Questions' black square will clear the sheet and recalculate questions and answers. Excel's Zoom Bar can be used to scale the sheet up and down to fit on your monitor. Note that as the questions are randomised, some questions could be repeated. With a constant number of re-generated questions (and answers), students can practice this to their heart's content. After all, practice makes perfect!

Area of a Circle (with detailed solutions)

Area of a Circle (with detailed solutions)

Two worksheets focusing on finding areas of circles and circular shapes. Problem-type questions are included as well. I find that these sheets are very useful as homework tasks for Y8 and older. As an extra, I have included a NEW STYLE of PowerPoint, which allows questions and solutions to be easily selected for enlarged display onto a screen, one at a time. This makes it easier and quicker to go through the solutions in class 😀. -- I have worksheets on more than 50 other topics – click here 👉 https://tes.com/.../my-worksheets… to see them. 👍If you like this resource, then please rate it and/or leave a comment💬.
