Christmas and winter resources to help you decorate your classroom displays

Having displays that are up-to-date, visually appealing and showcase the learning that has been going on throughout the term can be time-consuming. So we decided to gather together some Christmas and winter resources that will save you a bit of time and give your displays a great starting point.

Winter themed Early Years pack

This winter themed pack contains both decorative items for class display as well as activities linked to both literacy, numeracy and other skill areas. Activities are fairly self explanatory, but a short description is given where needed.

You will find included:

Literacy based:
All phase 3 sounds and tricky words with snowflake borders (10 pages)
Snowflakes with empty middles for filling in- can use for games like 'splat the sound' (1 page)

Math based:
Number match - digit, snowflakes, dice face, traceable written number (5 pages)
Spot the shape - snowflakes with hidden 2D shapes in them (1 page)
Count the snowflakes - hunt and count different snowflake types (4 pages including answers)

Decorative letters - Upper and lower case letters for display (13 pages)
How to draw a snowflake - step by step instructions to copy (2 pages)
Finger trace -fine motor practise or cutting practise (1 page)
Puzzles - simple snowflakes split into two (1 page)
Blank border - page border covered in snowflakes (1 page)

Printable bunting display bulletin letters numbers and more: Christmas Nativity

This is a letter set on bunting consisting of:

  • A-Z in capital letters
  • a-z in lower case letters
  • 0-9
  • ! ? … , . “”
    • x + = ÷

Now includes:

  • Heart shape
  • Sun shape
  • Star Shape
  • Smiley Face
  • Blank bunting for spaces

There is one letter/ number/ symbol per page.

All you have to do is print out the pages you need to write out any heading you like. Get the pages laminated and cut out to create a lovely and creative display heading.

You can also use your printer settings to put multiple pages per page to get smaller letters (that depends on your printer though).
