Adivina Que! (Guess What!) Differentiated activity for Opposites / Opuestos / Spanish Vocabulary These are cloze printables that help students review vocabulary by using sentences with missing information that students must fill in (sentences and clues all in Spanish!). Example sentence: 1. Ella no es baja, ella es ___ ___ ___ ___. *Students can choose the word “alta” from the list to complete this sentence. The opuestos / opposites vocabulary included in this packet is vocabulary commonly found in Spanish textbooks. This particular cloze printable aligns with Realidades 1 Textbook, Chapter 5B and is a nice supplement to help reinforce vocabulary. There are two versions of the activity included so you can offer differentiation in your classes. Spanish Nature and Geography 4 x 4 Matching Squares Puzzle

Students assemble a 4 x 4 Spanish/English vocabulary puzzle with 27 different nature and geography related words. Sample words are: antiplano, arroyo, bosque, cascada, frontera, mar, montaña, playa, río, selva tropical, sierra, valle, and volcán. Most words are repeated which makes the puzzle more challenging. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. There is a list of all words alongside the puzzle in Spanish and English. This can be used as a vocabulary bookmark and reference. 2 pages

Reflexive Verbs: Spanish Vocabulary Game ~ Octopus On Guard

Octopus On Guard Game of Spanish Reflexive Verbs! NO prep! Just print and go! The Octopus is guarding her treasure and students must “pop the bubbles” in the way! Students pair up and are armed with a marker (or highlighter or colored pencil, etc!). The teacher calls out the vocabulary word in Spanish and the students race each other to find the correct picture! When they find the correct picture, they “pop the bubble” by coloring it in. Whoever finds the correct picture first, earns a point. The student with the most points at the end wins! “Octopus on Guard” is a great review game and motivator. This game can go quickly! It’s a great warm up activity or closer at the end of a lesson. You can laminate these and use them over and over again throughout the year!
