Day of the Dead Colouring Sheets, Pages, Banners, Pennants - Inspirational Quotes

Day of the Dead Colouring Sheets, Pages, Banners, Pennants - Inspirational Quotes

These Day of the Dead quote colouring pennants are a wonderfully relaxing resource for your students! Colouring and displaying these banners are a fantastic way of celebrating the Day of the Dead and are a comfort to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. I’m a big advocate for colouring therapy for students and adults, and I already have quite an extensive collection of different quote colouring pages available in my store! They are wonderfully relaxing and especially effective for growth mindset as all quotes are inspirational and positive! Not only are these Day of the Dead quote colouring pennants ideal for decorating your classroom, but you’ll be amazed at the wonders it can do just by giving students a few minutes to wind down and relax by coloring. There are 10 different quotes to choose from! Students can just shade in using whatever colours make them happy, but there is also some white space available for them to add their own doodles too! So take a few minutes celebrating Day of the Dead in your lesson, during a morning meeting, indoor break, or give to early finishers, and let your students wind down and colour while reflecting on positive quotes about dealing with the loss of a loved one. Help your students build resilience and be all they can be. So take a few minutes during the Day of the Dead celebrations to get students in the right frame of mind by colouring in positive quotes about dealing with grief, then tie string through the pennants and decorate your classroom!

Summer TEACCH Tasks and Activities - Autism Independent Folder Tasks

Summer TEACCH Tasks and Activities - Autism Independent Folder Tasks

Summer TEACCH tasks contains 4 folder activities for you to use within your classroom with your pupils with Autism. The activities include: Colour sorting (2 levels - one word match, one solely colour matching) Sorting objects into categories of 'one' and 'lots' Matching a beach holiday scene When creating this resource, you will need to print it and cut out the instructed parts. Laminate, cut and add velcro. You can then add this into a folder or put it into a tray. TEACCH is an effective system for pupils with Autism. The structure allows pupils to work independently and master a skill. When using TEACCH the task to be completed is to be placed on the left hand-side - the pupil then completes the task and then places this into a finished box on the right-hand side. I would recommend using the same tasks for the specific session for around 4 - 6 weeks depending on level. It is important to remember that when completing TEACCH it is about building independence as well as success at the task. If the pupil can complete the task easily, this then means they can concentrate on working independently and can complete several tasks without the need for staff support. If the tasks are too tricky, they will not be independent, may get up and wander or refuse to participate. I hope this resource us useful, if you have any questions about how to use it, please just ask!
