Word classification 5 a day

Word classification 5 a day

In response to AQA examiners reports, I think these simple starters should help students better tackle: Paper 1 Q2, Paper 1 Q4, Paper 2 Q3 and Paper 2 Q4 - and quite possibly the writing questions better. The starters are easily differentiated in terms of what students complete. Weaker students could simply attempt to classify them, and this would prompt any instruction/explanations necessary by you re: word classes and what they mean. More able students could easily classify the words, and the task for them then would be to explain which words are effective and what they could say about them.
