Planning a trip- cross curricular maths

Planning a trip- cross curricular maths

I made a booklet to help the children plan a trip to the beach but it can be changed to fit other trips. The children need to collect data about things that the class could do on the trip and record it in a tally chart and block graph.

Epiphany Assembly - January 2018 - Key Stages 3, 4 and 5

Epiphany Assembly - January 2018 - Key Stages 3, 4 and 5

Epiphany Assembly - January 2018 This assembly is suitable for pupils in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. You may have heard of the term, twelfth night. It’s traditionally a time when families across Britain take down Christmas trees and other decorations for another year; an end to the Christmas season. But have you heard of Epiphany? Up until the 19th Century, January 6th was as big a celebration as Christmas Day and today, it’s a public holiday in many countries. This age-appropriate, thought-provoking assembly explains the true meaning of an often forgotten festival. As the frenzied hustle and bustle of Christmas is winding down and a new year emerges, it is a good time to take stock and consider our own personal journeys. This pack will save you hours of prep time. It comprises of a 25-slide power-point presentation with detailed notes, an Epiphany carol music accompaniment and an Epiphany prayer. The presentation can be used in a number of ways; • for a school assembly • as a loop on the school’s visual display system • as part of a lesson.
