E Safety resources iPads, phones, treasure chests, padlocks, snapchat ICT Year 1 / EYFS KS1

We are exploring staying safe on the computers, iPads, phones etc. what to do when ad messages pop up, what to so if they are using Snapchat etc... I intend to start with the treasure chests and padlocks. What would they lock away to keep safe. Why.. talking partners etc. What is important to them, reinforcing staying safe. Then go through a range of lessons linking to staying safe online. (Passwords, talking to people they don't know, clicking buttons when they aren't sure, asking for help etc ... The mouse page will be to write some rules to stay safe what to do/ not to do. Some resources for CP within EYFS / Year 1 to provide tools to talk

Suitable for aged 9+ (upper KS2 and KS3), The Food , Mood & Health Game is an educational board game designed to help children explore the impact food choices and media influence can have on our physical and emotional health. Lesson plans suggest follow on activities to consolidate learning after playing the game. Topics covered include: Healthy eating and related issues such as healthy weight Body image The effect of food on emotions, and the effect of mood on our food choices Media influence, including airbrushing, advertising Factors influencing food choices, such as cost, local availability Learning objectives: 1. Pupils understand what factors can influence people's food & health choices, e.g. media, peer pressure, cost. 2. Pupils understand that food can affect their physical and emotional health, and that their feelings/mood can affect food choices. 3. Pupils can share ways to help others think about their health & body image in a positive way. Split the class into small groups and assign a role for each group on the Paradise Island Community. Allow 10 minutes for each group to decide their opinion and formulate an argument. Then provide time for each group to present their case.
