Colourful Dragon Rhymes - for all ages

Colourful Dragon Rhymes - for all ages

Ideal end-of-term fun for classes of all ages, with scope for physical movement and multi-arts development. Once there was a dragon dressed in red. He liked to stay all day in… - but you can guess the last word, and so can the children, although some may prefer to offer alternatives with other rhyming words. Red is just one example of the numerous colours featuring in these crazy dragon verses, which lend themselves to being enacted, and even sung to a made-up tune, as well as chanted and clapped. Follow on with dragon sketches or try my dragon’s menu for easy, crazy writing fun.

3 Dreadful Dragons

3 Dreadful Dragons

Two dragon display pictures feature here - a blue one clasping a diamond and a lazy red one, snoozing on a cloud; also a little clip art design of a fire-breathing dragon whizzing, swooping, blasting down through the sky (also red). These will inspire end-of-term drawing, colouring, writing and acting fun for your class, whatever their age and maturity. For more, see my earlier upload: 3 Crazy Dragons, or try the Dragon’s Menu.

Invertebrates - 3-Part Cards

Invertebrates - 3-Part Cards

Montessori 3-Part Cards of Invertebrates When creating this, I wanted a simple classification tool for introducing the classification of invertebrates. This set contains examples of one of each of six major groups of invertebrates. And because sometimes it’s easy to become confused as to just where the arthropods come in and what that involves, I’ve added a second set of cards just for classifying the arthropods. Invertebrates - Matching Cards

Invertebrates - Matching Cards

Invertebrates - Montessori Matching Cards What child can resist the lure of the opportunity to carefully inspect a worm in a puddle after a storm? Or chasing a butterfly with outstretched arms? What child can resist the lure of an opportunity for careful inspection of a worm in a puddle after a storm? Or chasing a butterfly with outstretched arms? These real-life photo cards give children a simple introduction to the world of invertebrates by matching, playing games and talking about six of the major groups. But that’s not all! I’ve also made a second set of cards just for the arthropods. There are so many of them and it’s confusing, sometimes, to sort them all out! Not just for a Montessori classroom, this work is a great addition to any unit when the topic is animals without backbones.
