100 Question PowerPoint Biology Quiz and Amazing Biology Facts Presentation

This resource a highly visual, fully editable and interactive, 100 question biology quiz and 100 amazing biology facts. These are ideal resources for biology week. Quiz This is a 100 question quiz with varying degrees of challenge. It can be administered in a variety of ways - to individuals or teams. The answers can be found by clicking on the question mark image on each slide. Answers can be given either as you go through the quiz or at the end. An answer sheet is provided to allow individuals/teams to record their answers. Sample questions: 1. What is the longest bone in the human body? 2. In humans, the atlas and axis bones are found in which part of the body? 3. Otology is the study of which part of the body? 4. In medicine what do the initials MRI stand for? 5. Which disease has broken out in the Republic of Congo 2 years after it ended in West Africa? 6. Singultus is more commonly known as what type of action in humans? 7. This resource contains a highly visual, fully editable and interactive PowerPoint on 100 amazing biology facts. Sample facts: 1. The human mouth produces 1 litre (1.8 pints) of saliva each day. In a lifetime, the average person produces about 28413 litres of saliva; enough to fill two swimming pools! 2. Our eyes are always the same size from birth. 3. If all the DNA in a human body is stretched out, it would reach to the moon 6,000 times. 4. The power generated by our brain when we are awake is enough to light up a bulb? 5. The mucus from a human sneeze can travel up to 100 miles per hour. 6. The acid released in our stomach during digestion is hydrochloric acid. It is strong enough to dissolve a razor blade. 7. Some oak trees produce acorns at 20 years old. However, most oak trees do not produce acorns until they are 50 years old. 8. The smell of cut grass is a plant distress call. When cut, grass releases green leaf volatiles to stimulate the growth of new cells to close the wound and to prevent bacterial infection.
